i know that the XF f**con weber will fit tha cortina weber adaptor plate....what i wanna know is will it work well as a gas throttle body?
i have in my bits boxes a gas mixer for said carby, and if i bolt one on...without connecting pertol to it...and run straight lpg, will it go better than the nikki, or can it go better than the 32/36 dgv variety weber, with the gas gear on it.
please help, cos im getting sick of my car sucking in a headwind.
thanks all

Yes, due to the size difference it will run better,
my concern with the falcan carbi is that it is taller than a 32/36 and with the gas hat on it and air cleaner you may not be able to close the bonnet....
do you want straight gas???
if so you would be best off with a GAS Carbi, rather than a petrol carbi adapted to handle petrol and gas.
Cheers

andrew....the gas mixer sits inside the aircleaner, and i can get a falcon carb for sweet F.A., so i was thinking of a cost effective alternative.
as you know, i want to run straight lpg, and you reckon the gas carb you've got is too small,so what else will fit your gas manifold/ adaptor plate,{can i buy it if it'll work} and what would you recomend...
you know roughly my budget.
thanks heaps mate...

OK, I'll have a look around and see what I come up with,
Grab that carbi and the gas mixer,
have a look and see how restrictive the gas mixer is,
cheers

Ive run a 350 holley with impco gas hat on top of the carby (3 inch high hat) and run a blow thru turbo into the hat so it ended up being a straight lpg turbo setup and it ran fine and still had a good inch clearance from the bonnet. |
