it puts ya gearstick at a proper position instead of coming horizontally out of the bloody firewall...
the jap gems came with them, its just a device that shifts... well remotely  has a hump on the trans tunnel and sits up a bit higher, great to use but!
if you got ot japand check out some old wrecking yards there will be carcasses of ZZ/R's and ZZ/T's prolly with some remote shifters, take a hammer and chisel and rip them off and bring them back, worth a fair but the genuine ones.
Rodeo ones work too with a bit of mods, as u will see in the workshop
