Cheers to everyone with suggestions for accelerator cables, I ended up getting a rodeo 4ZE1 cable from a wreckers for $25.
It is the perfect length and the only mod needed was to grind the plastic firewall clip down and tap a thread so it screws into the firewall like the gemmy cable.
