Hey all,
Ive recently purchased a 2L and I'm rebuilding it at the moment.
My question is, if I get some headwork done, lumpy cam, increased compression etc, can I still use the stock 2L nikki carb?
Or would I be better off using the webber currently on my 1600?
I plan on getting efi in the future so I don't want to spend big $$ on new twin carbs or anything like that. I basically just want something that will work for now until I can save for efi.

do yourself a favor and throw the niki in the bin. Much better off with just a 32/36 weber etc..

Yeah man, definitely go the Weber!!!

I've got a G161Z with a little cam and a Weber carby, plus the usual extractors and 2" exhaust. Just wish I'd done the same things to a G200Z first!!! Then I'd be more satisfied.

The next Gemini I get, I'm going to put a G200Z in straight away, I reckon. I want a minta TD coupe some time in the future, but that's when I've got a big garage and can afford to keep several cars at once! For now, it'll have to be my poor BreadVan that lives outside in the cold and the rain and the sun and the salt.

Gay.

What were we talking about? Oh yeah, ditch the Nikki. They suck.

Definately the Weber! Weber or Holley. I'm more of a Holley fan myself (only cos I had problems with my Weber). 350 Holley's go well on worked Isuzu engines.
