yeah...
I went to look at a gem i am considering buying for a few parts...it's a TX sedan with a G200, Five speed and some oversized diff. It was mainly the diff that i was interested in. It looked similar to my standard sedan diff but it had oversize drums and a larger diff centre (crown gear). I was wondering if maybe it was a LSD off a piazza or a chopped down Torana LSD ... the dude just said that it came off a wagon ... and the shocky mounts on the diff were the wagon type. I havn't driven the car to find out if it is a LSD ... how can i find out... did any wagon diffs have oversized drums and a larger diff centre ??? Anyone seen this on Gem before ??? |

The easiest way to check if it is an LSD is to jack the car up and spin one wheel (handbrake off!) if the other spins the same way, you got yourself an LSD... if it spins the opposite direction... you don't. |
