i know someone that has a turbo pulsar and someone that has a turbo on his car - not sure what car model and theyre both on their p-plates and both have had no trouble with the cops. so as far as i can tell, its legal. |

if your putting a turbo on a vehicle that never came out with a turbo charged model then you will need a engineers certificate for the car to be road worthy. Also not sure about SA but in Vic P platers can not drive a vehicle with a power ratio of more than 125kw per tone. The main concern you will have is trying to get it insured - most companies will just laugh their arses off at you and the few that will insure you will probably quote you some ridiculous amount almost worth more than the car, so unless your folks are happy to insure it under their name or your earning a stupid amount of money then don’t crash.. |

if u have p plates at all in SA the cops are always gonna give u trouble, if u have a turbo as well then its gonna be much worse....
