Also i have a prob with my fuel pump (mechanical). under the diaphram there is a vent hose going to nowhere and there is fuel constantly dripping from it (not good!) does anyone know how to fix this without replacing the pump which would cost bout $100. |

thats the overflow. mine has started doing that now that i have put a weber on it. i havent seen it leaking out first hand but there is a wet area directly under it so it is leaking. i dont know what the overflow is for. maybe the return is blocked or under a lot of pressure and excess fuel under pressure is expelled out it. it doesnt answer your question though |

But its even leaking at idle so it couldn't be coz of too much pressure. and i think it seems to be less when actually revving the car but i'm not too sure |

You will probably have close to max pressure at idle, as you are not using much fuel, so you are not reducing the pressure in the line.
You can get rebuild kits for popular mechanical pumps like holden and ford engines, maybe you can buy a diagphram for a gemmy item. I would personally be buying a cheap electric item and installing it. Facet pumps are good, and are only about $70 I think.

I'll concur with ben (have we ever disagreed?) gemini factory pumps (either kind) are not worth the hassle of a decent external electric pump. |
