For drag raceing has anyone tried a auto box with sucsses. ???
And how much extra hp dose it take to turn one compared to a 4speed.???
If so what size stall was in it??? |

| Ive dealt with two. One was a 16oo with a 4bbl 465 holley on 50hp nos that ran high 13s as an auto with v8 clutch packs in it and a 38oo stall, but it went low 13s as a manual. Same auto and stall was put into another friends car, a 1600 with a t04 turbo and a suck thru 350 holley and it runs mid 13s on streeties ( very high mph however - 116mph for mid 13) and it works very well as an auto but kept breaking manuals. |
