YEAH MAN, THE GEMINI PANELVANS are ROCKING! (so don't come knocking).
Mate, I'd say go with either a coupe or a van - so much rarer and this puts
you in an elite group. Sedans are a little poxy, although when they're
clean they look pretty good.
I've had 3 vans so far and I just love them. I'd love a coupe, but they
have no boot space whatsoever, and when you go out your mates are going to
say "Give us a lift!", They're going to want to get in the back and put
their feet over everything. They'll complain there's not enough space.
Geminis are 4 cylinders so it'll lose some guts with 4 blokes in it and if
you fang it, you're a lot more likely to lose it cause of the extra weight
you're not used to (did that in my Mum's 1978 Mazda 323 a few years back -
felt like a complete tool). If you've got a panno, you can say "sorry mate,
but I don't wanna get booked by the piggers cause you guys are in the back"
or you can take them if you want to. I hear that injuries incurred when
people are riding in the back of vans during accidents is pretty horrific,
compacted spines and the like, so that's a downside. Sorry, but after
recent times seeing people just scrape through (or not scrape through) bad
accidents, I get a bit 'safety' from time to time.
The other good thing about Pannos is that you don't need a tent, you can go
to your mates place, sink beer and just crash in the back and if you ever
need to carry stuff, you can. Could there be a more perfect car???? |
