Somebody should bring out a Classic 4s Magazine or something.

Something for the forgotten 4s of the world. Street Machine doesn't want them, but neither does Hot 4s, you know?

OK, so they run the occasional Datto 1600 with FJ20 turbo, and they usually have enough Mazda RXs to go around.

But what about the TA-22 Celicas? The Minis? The old Corollas? The Escorts, Capris and Cortinas? What about the Geminis??!?! Nobody wants a story on them, and there seems to be enough to go around.

Anybody interested in setting up a magazine for REAL fours? Rather than homeboy Tupperware shopping carts with more watts in their stereos than their engines (no offence Sean).

I ain't gonna pay $7.00 to read about two cars.

There nary a car in Street Machine I don't like (except for post-1978 Foulcans), which is why I buy it, but two killer old cars amongst a sea of homeboy Tuppercars? I don't think so.

Nah, I got no idea how to start a magazine - I've been offered a regular gig in the SMASA Distributer, which ain't exactly Street Machine, but hey - take what you can get. I'm doing an article on spec for SM on the Bay to Birdwood Classic this weekend... hopefully, hopefully, hopefully it'll get published.

Unworked cars weighed down with kgs of stereo gear are piss easy to drag off.

Fuck, if I want to listen to tunes, I put on my headfones and listen to my Discman - I don't need to tell the whole suburb. Besides, I can't stand the boom-tish-boom-tish stuff that gets cranked on Silvia stereos day and night. Give me some good old fuckyou rock and roll anyday.

It takes all kinds to make a world, they say - somebody's gotta play Devil's advocate I guess...
