go to ampol and get manual transmission fluid
also to make it easier to put it in, take the whole gearstick out and pour it down the hole |

| Manual transmission fluid is wrong for Isuzu boxes.. The manual says SAE 30 engine oil.. I use Penrite HPR30. |

SAE 30-40 is specified in the Gregory's manual, this is a mono-grade oil not multi-grade. It's viscosity doesn't vary much with temp changes, and is recommended due to gearbox temps not varying all that much.
HPR30 should be o.k but may be a little on the thick side. But i've also read in other forums that people have used a standard 25/50 multi-grade in their boxes for years, without any detrimental side effects.
So SAE 30-40 if u want to play it by the book, or a standard multi-grade (such as HPR30 20/60) if the 30 isnt available. As long as one of the viscosity grades is as close the 30 as possible, she should be sweet. |
