| how do you remove the black box under the dash where the heater hoses go, i need to swap it because it is leaking, in a td coupe. thanks nathan |

| If it is like a TE you can remove the 2 hoses, then remove the little black cover (where the hoses go into the black box) by undoing the 2 screws. Once the cover is off you can slide the heater core out and replace it. If it is like the TX you need to take the whole heater unit out of the car (a long bolt goes through tne bottom of it and 4 nut hold it on up the top) then take the unit apart and replace the core. TE ones have both hoses going into the car on the passenger side, TX ones have one hose on each side of the engine. |
