well i can tell yopu a few things that i know about victoria, i am guessing the regs may be similar.
first you will have to check the production date of your car
pre 1/7/76 cars come under different rules than post according to the modified vehicle guidelines.
i am guessing that you have a post 1/7/76 gemini so what you will need to do is a full engine conversion including any pollution gear that the engine origionally came with. including the origional ECU.
As for brakes you may have to do a suitable braking upgrade. i am unsure of this as it is usually according the the weight of the vehicle, but a front vented disc upgrade would most likly be suitable and sane.
So in sort you have to do the full engine conversion running all origional gear.
Cheers

This is my own interpertation of the laws in Victoria, i may be wrong and there most likly will be others who have different opinions and be able to state more clearly the regulations in NSW |

a simple way to get past an epa test is if u are running on straight gas!! - (for emmissions)
Also post 1982 Nov (I think- cant exactly remember)
have an exhaust db limit of 90dB!
But pre vehicles have a limit of 96dB
I pushed 101dB at a test station at spring nats last year and copped a massive fine and later had to get a whole NEW exhaust and go get it tested again and EPA's head office!!
what a bitch!!
So make sure ya abide by the limits or it will end up costing ya big time!
Oh and remember they can test you on the spot ANYWHERE!!
I always see em down chapel st for us victorians!! |

I read in a fast 4s mag that 1984 was when it was reduced to 90 Db |
