can some one tell me what year model rodeo this engine is out of. And where the engin name is stamped on the block.

These model Rodeos had the 4ZD1
KB (1980-1988)
TF (1988-2003)
Not sure where the engine name is though |

That doesn't make a lot of sense. From the availablity of these engines, it would seem that they were only availble in rodeos for a short time. They may have been available in those two model names, but not during all of those years.
Rodeos had G180s (maybe G161 too) and G200s in the early 80's, and then went to 4ZD1 in late eighties, and then to early 4ZE1, and then a later model of the 4ZE1 untill about '98 or so. then a 2.2? litre engine was introduced along with the v6 option. |

I know Im just saying thats the time span that they used the models in.
Id go the 4ZD1 from the KB
KB = 81 kW
TF = 69 kW |
