Why dont you just jack the back of your car up and
1)check all drivetrain mounting bolts for tightness.
2)check unis, you do this by grabbing the yolk/flange with one hand and the t/shaft with the other and twist-if theres any movement theyre fucked.
3) check diff backlash
4) drop car and check the torque of the wheel nuts
you mught save yourself a bit of cash, either way new unis are easy to put in and dont cost much and they are more reliable than a complete 2nd hand t/shaft.

Well, you fit them y'self, they're fair easy. Toyo. The price is for the unis in their boxes. Fuck knows what balancing costs, ring Repco. They have a shop.

There is a bearing and rubber mount near the front end of the torque tube. If the rubber mount is stuffed it will bang and knock..You will need to get under the car and shake the tailshaft. If it rooted see the bearing place in Evans Road Salisbury, They sell the rubber mount. Go to Queensland gaskets and tell the guy you want a neoprene rubber ring cut out for the centre bearing for a gemini, tell him a guy got two cut there about a month ago, he should still have the size. When you rebuild it the ring goes inside the steel band in the rubber mount and works a treat to hold it steady. My phone is 0419644951 if you want to ring. Ross
