Ok,
So i pulled my "low" front king springs out of my old gem and put em in my new gem. On my old gem the sat just above the tyre. Now they sit a good inch and a half above the tyre. Only difference i can see is that the new gem has those rubber things at the top of where the springs go.
I've got stock shockies in the new gem(look original), not sure whast was in the old one but do you think this could make a difference? Do short stroke shocks change the ride height? How can i tell if the old gem has short stroke shocks?
I've also been thinking it could just need a good drive to give the springs a chance to sit properly or whatever, or "set in"? as they have been out of the old gem for ages now
Third scenario, which is very doubtful, is the fact that the engine and transmission is empty of oil, the radiatior and coolant isn't in, inlet manifold isn't on, front windscreen and bonnet isn't on and therefore is causing the front not to be weighed down enough. |

I think if you use TX springs in a TD or later, it will sit higher, I'm not 100% sure, but I fyou are doing this, it would prove the rumours.

TX front springs in TC-TG will lower it an inch.Kingspring "superlows" for TX-TG are just the "low" springs for TX. The rears are the same for all models though. |
