i know of a few cars with fibreglass guards,

who's really gonna know??

unless you knock at it, or if the paint shade differs from the rest of the car

Star performance in Sydney could get glass guards and bonnets for a TG gem when I was speaking to them a while ago. Can't remember prices but they were more than new guards from rare spares. Seriously though you would probably only save 2kg with glass guards or steel.

Drill the centre out of your bolts. Lexcen windows - which are LEGAL for the street. Alloy wheels. Roof lining. All unecessary items - ie. items that aren't for safety or function.

remove the sound deadner throw away the stock seat geta race seat. keep stock fuel tank lighter than a alloy one cut all bolts to have a at least 3 turns of thread showing after you have fastened every thing down. Remove everything that is unnessacary. Im not sure but i think you have to keep the dash. Cut your wiring loom to shreds keep everything that powers your head lights, indicators, startermotor and basically makes your car start.

Glass panels arent worth it they are heavier than the steel panels EXCEPT for the bonnet. When making your firewalls use the thinniest steel possible. Drill every centre of every bolt out or find someone who makes alloy nuts and bolts and use them. if possible ditch the stock cast exhuast manifold for extractors and smooth over the stock manifold you can loose some kilo's there too.

Mine atm weighs 860kg with out me in it.

their pretty heavy aye..
i piked one up after taking it off...
and i recon 15kgs each

if u made hollow fiberglass ones with pop off perspex windows, it would be alot more pratical that drilling holes in blots... (gee's how rediculars is that idea)
