| methanol doesnt have an 'octane' rating. methanol only has two carbon atoms in the chain and an oxygen atom. petrol has eight carbon atoms in the chain - hence octane. high octane fuels just have more oxygen and less hydrogen atoms. which is one reason they dont make pure ethane fuel. that and the fact u get shit all power out of it. |
