| does any one know of where i can get the 2.6 injected engine conversion from ? i rang a few wreckers in syd & only got one quote of $4700 from "all comercials" @ smith feild .... this is way to steep .. so anyone with any ideas of cheaper places could you let me know ...thanx |

| i rang them too they said that i could get everything i need to do it myself for $2500, but they didnt have any in stock... There was one wreckers that had one but they wanted $2000 for it. other than that i couldnt find any other complete 2.6l motor in syd so i went to my local wreckers and bought a 2.3l carb rodeo motor for $450 and it only has 7 less Kw than the injected 2.6. |

| your gunna pay through the nose. try and buy a rodeo, they aint cheap. might only be 7kw but what is the torque difference im guessing a fair bit. thats why the 2.6 had a beefed up gearbox. try buying the 2.3 and putting all the efi gear on it. ive got a 1.8 shuttle motor here and 2.6 efi or a piazza setup is my plan. i want to see how hard it will rev. |
