Here is some news on the Mt.Cotton Gemini SkidPan Day.
First of all ... it is on the 31st of August. Let's be sure I put that in the body of the post this time.
Minimum number of cars for the day to be viable is 15, although 20 is obviously better. If less than 15 people want to do it, we might still be able to run it, but we might have to talk about paying a bit more ... we'll deal with that if we get there.
Due to the 'dreamer' factor that Gene mentioned, payment will have to be made before the day by cash, cheque, direct bank deposit or credit card. I will give full details of how to make a payment when people confirm that they want a spot. If I'm getting a lot of bookers who are going to 'pay later', I will book up to 25 theoretical spots, but it will be the first 20 people who finalise payment that get to come along. Payments will be totally refunded if we don't get the numbers to run the day ... and receipts will be given upon payment.
Also in breaking news ... I may be running some sort of BBQ and drink arrangement on the day ... more news on this exciting development as it comes to hand.
It shouldn't have to be said given that it's running from 8am - 12noon, but if I even think I see someone with alcohol, they will receive a swift kick in the head and will be escorted from the complex.
At the moment it's still registered cars only. On a side note, Mr Gene and Mr Yobbo should send me an email. Anyone else who would like to bring an unregistered vehicle on the day should also send me an email so that I can reply to them and
explain to them why this is not possible
.
That's about it for now ... reply with questions if applicable ... I know a lot about evolution if anyone has any tough questions.
If you want to talk to me in person, I will be on the August 2 cruise this weekend. If you can't see my car, just head towards the rattling tractor sound, unless of course I figure out a way to replace the white plastic thing in my timing chain tensioner without pulling apart my engine before then ... any help there would be great.

draevon, to make sure that you get the numbers to make it viable, would u be willing to accept non-gemini's? ie. a mate of mine would be keen as mustard in his locked diffd hr...

Hey greg,
We're pretty keen to keep it geminis only at least for the first one ... then we'll see how it goes. The problem is that if I let your friend bring his HQ, then I'm 2 steps away from running an import DriftKing day ... which I don't want to do.

Are spectators welcome? I'm not too keen to thrash my new motor yet. I would ask on the cruise, but unfortunately I have to work that night
Cheers
