Opening Bonnet

The cord that u use to open the bonnet has gone limp and i cant get to my engine bay !! how do i manually open it/fix it

its pretty easy if u dont have a grill, so if u can get the grill off, then all u have to do is pull the little clip thing that the release chord goes to, if that makes sense, there may be another way to do it, im not sure, thats bout the only way i can think to do it
