how do i know what to time my engine to
its bored out 47 thou

kinda 'guess & check' but loose the bolt for the distributor and turn it slowly while the car is running and keep going til it gets nasty, then turn it back the other way til the samething happens and then find a nice spot inbetween. although if you've got the time, i found a website once when doing the timing on a mates gem that had mods and it let you enter in loads of data and it would tell you the new specs for the engine. cant remember the name of the site thou

When you are on the dyno getting your engine tuned, ask the dyno operator to adjust your timing untill you get maximum power. Unless you know a better way?
