Guys Need some advice !! My TE Gem will not start if it hasn't been started for a few days.It will only run on the petrol left in the carby then it will stop.So a few seconds. Then If I leave it for a while the lines are full of petrol and off she starts and goes no worries. Maybe air builds up in the lines after a few days. Whta do you guys reckon???

Had that problem!!

For me it was the fuel pump, in a gem (sedan) the fuel can gravity feed the carby enough to supply fuel to start it and idle for a while. The fuel pump wasnt earthed properly and only ran sometimes.

For a mate of mine, it was his alternator, when the altornator stops turning, the fuel pump stops also (accident safeguard), if your altornator is getting tired, and sometimes doesnt have positive charge, then the pump wont work.

Also a possibility of the battery, for the same reason as the alternator, no positive charge, no fuel pump. You say that it wont run after a few days.. it your battery is old, sometimes they lose a bit of charge over a few days.
just a few ideas, hope it helps
