electrical Problem - Help Please

Ok ... something is going wrong with my headlights, but only on low beam. Sometimes when i turn on my lights, the low beams wont light up. Parkers and tail lights all work, and high beams work when I switch to them but no low beam. Then after anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, the low beams will just come on. Once they are on, they don't have any problems again until I turn them off and try to turn them on next time.

I thought it might be relay, but my Gemini wiring diagram doesn't show a relay on the headlight wiring ... so my next thought it the high/low beam/indicator switch ... it seems strange though that I can just sit there and not touch anything and the lows will just switch on whenever they're ready.

Anyone else had this problem or have any ideas how to fix it???

It sounds like a sticky or rusty internals of a relay. You should beable to hear the relay if you keep turning the lights on and off. If it's TE then yer I dunno if them switchs have a relay because they are kinda heavy duty but i know that my TG has a relay for the headlights... If your in WA I have 2 spare TE headlight switchs u can have?

the relay box is under the bonnet on the other side to teh battery. if its not that see if your coil and ballest resister(white thing bolted to coil) are tight becasue mine was doin fucked up shit like that and it was becasue the coil was lose

sounds like it could also be a bad connection somwewhere, check the all the connections e.g relay, fuses, and the plug on the back of the bulb.

I had a similar problem except the headlights would not work on high beam. It turned out to be dirty terminals in the actual indicator stem (how it changes from low to high beam). I pulled it apart and cleaned the terminals with wet and dry sand paper.
