Does ne one know about ways of keeping the heat in with turbos, ie whether theres some type of heat shielding tape that can be wrapped around the exaust menifold! IF so where can I get them from??
Also has ne one heard of little heat proof jumpers for turbos!
Has ne one had problems with heat effecting the paint on the bonnet??
Have heater hoses running close to the exaust dump pipe from the turboproned to splitting from the high heat, if so whats the best solution! |

Also if you have the early hash pre TF, then you can fit a TX heater unit and the heater hoses then go in and out on each side of the head and you can fill in the holes near your dump pipe. Also a heat sheld can be fabricated to avoid heat near the bonnet, also consider the left hand front brake line, you should protect that as well as once you boil brake fluid it makes stopping in a straight line difficult.
you can buy thin pipe shielding at most performance shops.

What would u expect the going price for the heat proof tape would be? If using it on manifolds etc, would the metal need to be cleaned ie sand blasted for better adhesion! |

it does not stick to the manifolds, it is like a thick canvas type material you have to wrap it and then clamp it with stainless steel ties. |

have you considered having the manifold HPC coated. it will cost a bit more but will look and work better then wrap. also depending what your manifold is made from wraping it could cause the welds to weakin. thats the advice i got when i was going to wrap my stainless manifold.

theres 2 types... the canvas stuff which dont stick, then there is the silvery one which does stick. some brands aslo recommend not wraping the ehaust manifold, so watch out for that |
