CD PLAYER AND REV TACHO

OMG where do I start.
I got a cd player and 6*9 for free 2 weeks ago.

and another mate gave me a 10 inch sub

and put them on the parcell tray it looks fucken mad.

I installed a 5inch monster tacho i also got for $100
when I wire it up only some times it works and some times it doesnt?
the shift light only comes on every once and a ahwile also.

i was driving along the freeway last night and this smoke starts coming from the back of the dash so I pull over and
i pull the cd player out and the fuse behind it was blown.

i got home and I tried to re wire it and put it back in and it just blows the fuses from the deck?

what the fuck is the problem?
and with the tacho I also have no idea?

try pulling them out and with the cd player directly wire it to the battery and see if that makes a difference, also double check your wiring cause some cheaper cd players use crazy colours like black for posative, and with the tacho make sure u have good connections maybe one of your wires is brocken internally and when it goes over a bump it losses conenction for a bit?

hey dude is ya monsta cut to fit a four cylinder, maybe u have it on 8 or 6, make sure both wires are cut at the back.

the two main wires on a tacho are the power and the one goin to the coil. so if ya tacho is fucking up then guess what wires to check. it sounds like the connections on em are crap so give em a good checking over
