i got a dodgy dash in a 79 td gem wagon which i wanna rip out and give a big touch up... i was wondering how hard they are to take out and put back in....

also whats an easy way to re-store an old dash so its back to nice condition... i wanna re-spray it like a bright red....

Pretty easy to take out, may need a hand from someone to get it back in since its a pain to hold in place properly.

Taking out, bogging up, primering and painting and putting it back in should take up a days work. (Depending on how far you mod the dash of course.)

hahah a days work! i took mine out like 2 weeks ago, n put like 32 hours into it, and its still in the shed in pieces! mind you its a tg dash and has been fully airbrushed, but yea dont plan to do it in a day cos unless ur lookin at puttin in like 12 hours plan for 2 days or more.

Mate, I said depending on how much modification work you put into it.

To take a dash out, fix it up, spray it and put it back in you shouldn't be looking at more than a days actual work and maybe a day drying time for the paint in between.

I'm speaking from experience since I did this with my dash, it's original, neat and tidy and only took a days work at most (plus drying time). Thats me being a slow worker too.
