ive taken the solexes out of my other gem and tried to install them in the coupe but i cant get the little rod to clip into the lock. as in where that little piece of white plastic holds them in. how did anyone that has done it do it? i have been at it for 3 1/2 hours and havnt even got one in.
please help cos i cant drive it till its done.

hey is it true you cant get solex locks for wagons????
i presume if they fit coupes they would fit wagons

i dont make the decisions mate. doesnt matter cos there are many others that will help quite happily. why do i get the feeling that this is a little kid who finds it exciting to come on here and make a dickhead of themselves??? probably a hotgem member. anyway yes i will find out.

should do...from my experiences all of the gem locks are the same. its just the length of the rods that differs with the door lengths. you only change the lock itself as in the bit that the kay goes into. much better security.
i had fun today cos my boot locks are different between the two cars so ill have to sort out a way to make them fit so i can have solexes on the boot.

take the plastic thing off then put the rod in the hole and cover it with silicone then put cable ties around it.
did it to my bluebird a year ago and is still going hard.

dodgy but not bodgy!
