Could someone please help me!! I need to know where the inlet manifold heater hoses go to on a g series engine and what I connect them to.
And do yo use the throttle body heating ( ie. the circuit of coolant that goes in and out of the bottom of the throttle body)? Do I ned to use it?
Please reply ASAP.
Either post here or my email is loza@hotmailcom.
Cheers

Unless there is a temp curcuit for the computer to read or something to that effect, no you dont need to route the cooling system lines thru the throttle body. Try to re-route it so that the hoses bypass the throttle body back to where they are suposed to go. I'm unsure on whether the Piazza computer has to read the temp from the throttle, but if it doesn't, then it's a waste of time running the hoses thru it. I worked at a place here on the Gold Coast that specialised in working Commodores called 'Parker Performance', they used this bypass trick to keep the throttle body cooler when the engine was getting a work-out. I saw dyno sheets that proved that once up to temp and running slightly warm, the Gen III gained an extra 5KW on average. With the lines hooked up from the factory, it starts to heat the incoming charge of air slightly as it passes thru the throttle body. With it disconnected the air is slightly cooler and therefore denser so more horsepower is inevitable - if only a scrap, but it's better than nothing without having to crack the engine open. After all, an extra 5KW or so in power for relatively nothing is always a good thing. Imagine if u could do this sort of trick in 5 different places of the engine, that's an extra 25 odd KW for next to nothing.
