hi. i am currently buying a g200 motor out of a rodeo which needs a rebuild. was talking to someone the other day and they said they were expensive to do up. could anyone give me a rough estimate for rings, bearings, pistons etc, or just a general price i should expect to pay. i know there will probably be varying factors for any rebuild but a rough guide would do. thankyou.

Dont't quote me on this one but a mate of mine is doing one up and he bought a whole rebuild kit for like $400 and that got him rings, bearings, new gasket set no pistons and im not sure if got a water pump in that too.

i'm thinking of doing something similar. i'm thinking bout 200 for the block for the rebuild (g200), bout 1100 for the bottom to be done, and about 500 for the head.

chris.

$1100 sounds about right for a thorough bottom end rebuild. it'd wanna be a pretty special head for $500 but !!!!
