hey, i just looked at doin this to my gem and thought about making an alloy tank up, u could either make one to drop between ur rear rails, or a stepped one to go out towards the passenger quarter more. The wagon fuel tank is also a possibility as it sits in the rails if my measurements are correct , u could pro cut ur boot floor and bolt it up from under the boot to save some storage space . On either your best bet would be to grab a torana fuel flap and install a filler at the rear of the car. The only thing u really have to watch for is that the exhaust isnt to close to the tank. |
