I've just bought a 9" Chrome Air Filter from Autbahn to replace the stock air filter element... I've done a search to try find out what hoses can be left unconnected and which should be blocked or connected to the new filter... but can't find anything conclusive...
The rocker cover by-pass hose can be either replaced with a fabricated filter, or run down to the road...
What can be done with the air pump hose..left off?
and should the small hose from the control valve be plugged back into the air filter??
One last thing... has anyone transferred the hot idle compensator from the stock cleaner to an aftermarket product...as without this idle seems to be very rough
sorry bout the long post
any help appreciated

The hose that comes from the control valve (little black thing next to the feul filter with 2 other hoses in it) gets taken out. The hose from down on the inlet manifold gets blocked off. And the one from the top of the rocker cover you replace with a little cotton filter you buy for about $15 (this is for pre-pollution) if you have polluttion gear just take the hose from the filter to the pump out completly.v Hope this helps. |
