Hi my td wagon goes well but just is'nt there yet so i'm going to raise the compression. Does anyone know of or have any pistons that would be a cheaper alternative to buying them first hand any any reccomendations or tips on the subject would help even to let me know how your jobs turned out power output stuff like that.
I have an 1800 bored out 20 thou basically new from top to bottom bigger bearings to handle a bit more power cam, webber etc... |

Bigger Bearings??
Raise the comp by getting a TX head and shaving it to the MAX.
Get a TX Head (search many posts about this topic), shave it. Port it if you want.
Get Extractors or a TX twin pipe exhaust manifold and header pipes, and about 2 inch pipe for the restwith straight throu muffler and a resinator
Get a mild camshaft
(Crow / Camtech / Wade)
Get a Weber 32/36
(Ex cortina 2 ltr, refer links page for setup)
Should be good for about 100 RWHP
Then Get smoken those tyres in 2nd gear,
cheers

ACL make both dished and flat tops for 1800 engines. Ask any engine builder, they will be able to get them for you. |
