rebuild usually consists of new rings (Hone bore)/ bearings/head reco. and gaskets. & assembly
estimate $700

RECO should include: bore & hone, crank grind, new pistons rings bearings gaskets reco head. new oil pump depending on place of work done. & assembly
estimate $1000

& warranty if you are going to flog it get a reco.

it is not worth just replacing rings,
measure your bores to see it it is still within correct size limits and there is no scoring of the bore. otherwise rebore and new pistons and rings.

if you can get away with just rings:
your should hone your bores, and should replace your bearings, and should atleast recut your valves and fit new valve stem seals.

then you need to check the crank. are the bearings worn? is there damage on the crank??? get it ground and bearings to suit.

so you are prob better getting a reco change over from a reputable engine builder.
