| you could just buy an aftermarket gear knob from autobarn or the likes, chop down the shifter and then cover the top of the shifter with the rubber insert, force the new knob down on the rubber screw ... |

my barina HAS the gti engine in it im told.. twin cam rather then the single cam.. which was the only majour difference apparantly.

mine doesnt have a boot as such, spesh being a 4 door hatch =P (the 2 12" subs dont leave much room either)
