| Here's some pics of my '87 Chevette. It's powered by a stock g180 and Isuzu 4-speed. The car wasn't offered with the Isuzu gas engine, I had one left over from a '78 Opel that had rusted up to the door handles! These engines are a sweet powerplant! The hardest part of the swap was the exhaust as it is a tight fit to the steering shaft (left hand drive here). The Gemini owners in oz have many more parts available to them than here in the USA, no performance parts and getting sheetmetal stamping are just about gone! I have a g200 and a 5-speed Trans in the works for this winter, I wish I could find the big valve head and a good cam here (I'll call crow). |
