This is my soon to be gemini ,currently it is a vauxhall chevette gl ,which is basically a gem apart from the front end and interior currently it is stock 1298 cc motor, 4spd box and and about 36kw at the wheels, well yes an engine up grade is the works tf 1.6l/1.8l motor coupled with 5spd box, as well as a front 1/4 conversion to gem panels ,grill radiator, it is my first car so it will be relatively mild but i can't see it stayin that way. the tf motor and front panels look to be the likely donor and i probably be the only person in NZ to do such a conversion or even own a gem wagon because they are fucken rare over here any comments advice would be appreciated
ps our family owns a stainless sheetmetal firm what gauge and diameter tube would you suggest for the 1.8l motor.
