Hi, my name is Adam DeRose, and here are some details and pics of my TD Wagon that I got Top 25 judged at the 2000 Small Car Sunday with.."I bought the car in 96 for $500 as a wholesale trade in. Together with my dad, I stripped it totally then did some subtle body mods. Here is a basic run down."
BODY:
*Custom front steel spoiler
*One piece bar with no bar bolts
*Welded on guards
*TR Magna indicators
*No aerial hole
*Seam welded body, including shocker towers
*Smoothed rad support panel
*VL Commodore door handles
*No door locks
*One piece side windows
*Steel rear spoiler with brake light
*Smoothed tailgate
*Recessed number plate
*No rear bar
I think I’ve missed some stuff but I think you get the point. Colour is a custom mix black with blue pearl 2K.
MOTOR: Very mild, new shaved head, Camtech cam (I have no idea what grind but it makes the right sounds) Genie extractors, rebuilt bottom end, recurved dizzy, rebuilt carby to suit cam, 2 1/4 inch exhaust.
TRIM: Grey velour, 96 Celica front seats, retractable rear seatbelts, moulded speaker pods in doors and tailgate, Wheel and other accessories by Momo and Autotechnica.
STEREO: 12 inch JBL sub, Clarion 6inch 2 ways front, Alpine 2 inch ways rear, Clarion CD stacker with BOSS amp.
WHEELS: 15x6.5 Auscar with 205/50 rear and 195/50 front Goodyear F1’s.
FUTURE PLANS: 1600 running on unleaded, twin sidey’s, electronic ignition, more porting and polishing on the head. More detail underneath, hand polished steering rack and powder coated suspension to go in soon. More km's too! |
