Gold Coast Cruise 06/04/2002
The Isuzu Motorsports Club had a medium size turn out for their Gold Coast run on Saturday the 6 of April. The cruise began at the Sunshine Coast at 7pm, and had a few stops along the way. Stoping at the Hyperdome for an hour, the group gained more support to start their way down the coast. A few drivers needed to stop for fuel so the group pulled in to the Yatala BP. After being there for about 15 minuets, the piggers came over and told us to get down the coast because where missing out on all the fun. So everyone hoped back into their cars and headed for Broadwater car park.

Most not being able to control them selves had a bit of fun on the way down. Once getting into the car park, it was a fight to get a spot as it was every man for them selves. Once finding a spot we all regrouped and looked at all the cars and had a talk with each other and found out what they did to their cars. Some sporty people felt like having a little boxing match with some new mates they found to entertain the crowd of about 300.

At about mid night we decided to go and have a cruise through Surfers for about an hour or so. It was way past some people’s bedtimes so some headed off home while all the night owls went back to the Broadwater car park for a while and then headed of home at about 1:30am. We all had a bit of fun coming back as there was someone hanging out of a show worthy Gemini filming. Dave in his turbo 1600 TD had to show off how quick his car is every time the camera was on him but I bet the petrol station really liked him. It was a great night with some great cars as you can see form the pictures. Thanks Isuzu Motorsports Club for organising the night and don’t miss the next one.
