hi stallys are possible, but the gemi autos dont tend to take the stress of megashifters.

The shifters are quite easy except for the wires, I wouldnt worry about a hi-stall unless the engine is very powerful.

"but the gemi autos dont tend to take the stress of megashifters", What do you mean? Megashifters are the bit that sits in the car, that you change gears with.

Yep, they are one of the strongest 3 speed transmissions out there too. They are called a TH180C (trimatic). You can work the ring out of em.
It's better to start off with an auto because they cost a lot and the trans tunnels are a lot wider, the carbs ahave a kick down linkage and just no headfucks like crossmembers, removing pedals and patching shit up.
You can put B&M shifters on em but you will have to make up your own anchor bracket (which has to be VERY FUCKING ACURATE!) and adjust the cable acordingly.
Good luck, I hope this helped.

I was going to say ask Hop-a-long as he's an auto specialist.

The stall of the converter needs to be higher than the starting point of the camshaft. Say the cam has a range of 2200 - 5500 rpm, you need a stall of 2500.

Yonnee.
