Hey all, happy new year.
I have an imported electronic distributor (similar to the RB only with the long shaft) on my TE and the dyno tune guys lost the rubber seal (between the cap and the body) causing the cap to sit too low and grind away the centre contact inside. Everyone I rang told me I had no chance of just getting the seal, new or 2nd hand, so does anyone know of a place I could get one? Pref. in SA. Thanks

Perhaps try beating up someone with an RB gemini and steal theirs? If the seal fits that is.
If not, just gemmy spares, jap importers, or if you get desperate go to your local rubber store (mine is clark rubber) and see what you can make, necessity is the mother of invention and probably the sister of beer. |

| Got mine from Just Geminis. Imported from something. The internals are the same as the RB gemini though and I doubt it would be too difficult adapting it to replace the points, though you'd need some sort of spark controller (Jaycar sell kits). You cna also buy conversion kits with IR LEDS as pickups. Just Geminis had a few last time I was there. It was 80 bucks pre GST. |
